Amazing staff here like the RN Amy, the Social Worker Onka I believe is how you spell it, Adam and Mandi the techs, Dr. O and so many others! Gentle suggestion: more classical music and peaceful or positive shows on the TV (ghost rider was constantly showing because of one resident), a spiritual care department for those that need religious support and one on one counseling instead of just group therapy! Lastly a special kudos to the RN named Michelle who was totally awesome!!! Can you please thank her??

This place is terrible. There is no actual therapy, they don’t tell you what you need to do or should do. It’s basically a jail. Don’t take a family member there. Get them real help.

During an unexpected involuntary admission, I was pleasantly surprised by how nice this facility was compared to others I have seen in my career/personal experience. This is primarily a place to be safe, not "solve" your problems; there is little actual therapy, which is not abnormal for hospitalizations. If i could leave less than one star i would Riverbend has no one on one therapy the activities are very juvenile when theyre available the staff is great although there is really no help being offered i see how patients have nothing to do but sleep and end up exiting as they came because nothing is provided and when they leave theyre more irritated then going in because all they want is out in my opinion go elsewhere do not force your loved ones to be basically jailed (actually same as jailed 3 hot meals and a bed) look into... read more
