Highlights were service, drinks and ambiance. My critiques are that the margarita pizza was undercooked. No crispness to it, and it lacked flavor. It’s rare to have a bad pizza anywhere so I was very surprised. Also, I wished the entree pasta portion sizes were a bit larger. For Italian food you expect big portions. A highlight was the bar. The cocktails were delicious albeit expensive at $30 after tax and tip.
The atmosphere is awesome, the wait staff go over and above for sure so there's that but thats the only reason 4 stars instead of 3. I had the carbonara and was very disappointed. I've had it many times, including in Italy and to me this was not a true carbonara and hardly seasoned at all. Also the pasta was not what I woukd prefer as it seemed to be not as cooked ss it should be. Two of our party got the lasagna and were not impressed. The menu items sounded good but were lacking in flavor. There was very little protein in our dishes. Very high prices, especially the drinks. Our waiter was patronizing and failed miserably in impressing us. The complimentary anniversary dessert was good.
Great experience every time I have been. Food is fantastic. Service is exceptional. Great atmosphere with a bonus beautiful view of the lake.
