Had a beautiful dining experience at Risby Cove Restaurant. The setting and outlook over the river is absolutely stunning and creates the perfect atmosphere for a relaxed but elegant meal. A quality restaurant with a menu to match. Favourite entrée was definitely the trout tartare, while the lamb and duck mains were standouts. And for dessert, you can’t go past the chocolate dome. If you’re looking for something a little more upscale and elegant while in Strahan, this is definitely a place to visit.
We had a lovely dinner great service from Kayla who explained the menu to us in great detail. All meals very tasty albeit on the small size for the price. We didn’t think it was really worth the cost.
We ate at the restraints, and while the food was nice, the service was way too fast - we kept asking them for more time, but in less than an hour we’d had a 3 course meal for almost $300 for two people. For that price, the meal should have been more of an experience over a longer time.
Location, atmosphere and service was good. Food not up to scratch unfortunately especially for fine dining I don’t feel the quality was there. Scallops, potato’s and oysters over cooked and kilpatrick no bacon, puff pastry was cluggy and un tasteful Maybe an off night with the chef but left a little underwhelmed overall .
We dined at the restaurant and had an incredible experience from start to finish. The steak was cooked perfectly, and the waiter’s wine recommendations really elevated the meal. I also had the beetroot and apple tart for entrée, which was a standout... fresh and full of flavour. The portion sizes were surprisingly generous too, especially for a fine dining experience.
