First, I'd like to say the lady running these apartments is very nice and carries a beauty heart. However the maintenance here is horrible, rude, an alcoholic, and acts like an investigator instead of maintenance. He is unfriendly and consistently targets the tenants here, I'm so uncomfortable here and need to find a way out.. he never cleans when it snows, he doesn't do any maintenance duties besides sit on a lawnmower in the summer and drives around but never cleans the sidewalks after, he is one of the worst people I've e... read more

I want to tell the world that renting from J.L. Gray is asking for trouble. I have lived in my apartment, Rio Mimbres, in Deming,NM. The first year was not so bad. But during the second year, I had become disabled. Because of my disability keeping the apartment clean was more challenging. I told them they needed to be patient with me. The monthly inspections were ridiculous. The last one demanded that I rent a carpet cleaner and shampoo the carpet. I didn't have the money to do that. I felt harassed and picked on. Would have to agree with the other reviews. JL Gray is the worst property management company I have ever dealt with. I do not know how to keep this short but will try. Didn't have a water heater for a very long time, (think 1 year), never got my utility checks when they were due to me(most of the time they were 3+ months late), very rude staff in my area, staff constantly changing, nothing ever got repaired, (would report things month after month during inspection and they never did anything) problem with plumbing and couldn... read more
