The Hideaway on Indian Blanket Ranch was dirty, roach-infested and had not been sanitized for COVID-19. These photos are a small sample of the unacceptable conditions. Old food splatters on the walls and refrigerators. Cobwebs and caked dust, stained chair cushions in need of washing or replacement, and who knows what all over the telephone! The roof leaked in 3 places when it rained. So much more. I wrote a letter with photos after our stay and got absolutely NO REPLY.
Recommended5 stars! We booked the Frio Tree Top 6 months ago for a spring break family get away. A few days before the trip we considered cancelling due to the Virus Craziness. I am so glad we didn’t! This is the best place to be for social distancing and isolation. It is a gorgeous, peaceful property with plenty to keep you entertained. They cleaned and disinfected it thoroughly before we arrived. I just wish we could have stayed longer! Highly recommend!
Perfect gathering place for a friends weekend! We loved the nature trail! The hammock, the hot tub, multiple seating areas, the fire, the pool, the fountain-everything was great!
We just left Bluebird Hill and had the most fabulous weekend. The home had everything we could need (and more!). We hosted our first annual Friendsgiving here and can’t wait to come back. We enjoyed the hiking path and relaxing by the fire and taking a dip in the hot tub. This was truly a memory we will cherish forever. 🙏🏻 Thank you!
We stayed with Rio Frio Lodging for my 30th birthday, in a beautiful property (The Hideaway?). HOWEVER!!! First, the hot tub was full of DOG HAIR, we had to clean it out ourselves before we used it....but way WORSE...house was INFESTED with 100s of SPIDER COLONIES that came out after dark. We stayed awake terrified all night with our newborn baby. Because cell phones don't work there, we were unable to call the property managers until morning. After we were made aware of the spiders, we have exterminated regularly there and at all of our properties.
