Supposedly a public service, Riley County public works has an extremely unfriendly billing system often leaving a couple day window to pay a bill/mail it in. If you don't get to bills daily, it becomes a problem and they instantly charge a large percentage for late fee. There have been times a bill was not received, therefore a bill not paid, and they are quick, without call, to shut off water services, willing to leave a family without water for an entire weekend due to billing issues and lack of communication on their part... read more
