well I didn't plan my trip around the closing of riggios...but I was definitely happy to be able to get my last pizza on closing day... been eating there since they opened sad day in Niles when they have to close cause I'm sure taxws had something to do with it..

First went to Riggio's on Western Ave near Welles Park for pizza in 1959. Then on to the location on Western and Belle Plaine until they closed. Niles next and a tear in our eyes that this is the final weekend. So sad to see the end of a wonderful family restaurant where we shared a zillion family memories!
Truly one of the finest places to eat Pizza in Chicago! Thank you for a lifetime of wonderful memories!
So sad this place is closing. I was in town a couple of weeks ago and I was not aware of the impending closure. Had I known, I would have definitely gone for one more thin crust pizza.
We had a grade school get together 44 years after graduation. It was so nice to come back to Riggios. The pizza, salad and drinks were just as we all remembered. The staff could not have been nicer and service was perfect. It was a great location which helped us talk about old and new memories. We will miss Riggios.
Great pizza and pasta. So sad about impending closure.
