Me and my husband went in with sore throat on Sunday. The wait wasn't long. After the PA examined us and took throat swap she left to get us a note for work. We did not see her after that. She did not explain what to do, what to take after or what are our options. We asked the nurse, and she asked the PA. She said to wait for the results the same day. While I was given a steroid injection to kick start some inflammation reduction, nothing was done for addressing the severe pain I was having. I was hurting enough to cry and my husband had to carry me. I had to go to the ER a few hours later as the pain was so intense. I would have liked if my pain could have been addressed more thoroughly. Julie looked to be in a rush since urgent care is under-staffed these days.

I had a pretty bad experience, even though the wait time wasn’t long. When I got to the waiting room to wait on the doctor, I swear it was 95° in there. I had an infection in my throat in my nose, so the doctor did a swab for strep, flu, and Covid but he did not barely even get the Q-tip wet so I guess I’ll never even know if it’s positive. He had to be a piece of paper on how do I care for swollen tonsil Instead of actually taking care of me as a patient.
