I had an umbilical hernia repair. Everyone was great. I checked out their stats before making an appointment. They have the lowest infection rate. That's something most people never think about. It was easy to schedule and the doctor went over everything with me. He took his time to be sure I understood every step of the process. The surgery staff were very nice. I felt very safe.

The facility (building) is fine, but the staff is abysmal. Given our remote location... you take what you get! We've been patients for over 10 years. This place serves as our means to fill blood pressure meds only. We travel 100+ miles to Bakersfield or Los Angeles for any other medical needs. If you must use S.S.M.C., prepare for an indifferent/incompetent office staff that is easily overwhelmed. (Dr. Hope is O.K.) Best of luck!

Very good with one exception ONE of the staff who works there was very rude and unprofessional. I know my Doctor would not approve of how she treated me, in the waiting room, and will be taking to my Doctor about this.

Well, I recently went to the urgent care. The services rendered were in no way shape or form hospitable or personalized. Evidently they only check you out and send you to a doctor. If the doctor was here 5 days a week, you could shut this down and add another office for one or more doctors. The treatment would be better. Second, when coming in for xrays, don't bother acknowledging the front desk. They had me wait there so they could notify the dept I was here. Don't go there, they are immature doctors who follow a computer script and have no idea about anything related to medicine. They will mess you up with un-necessary visits just to make more money.
