Ride the Ducks of Seattle

4.5

About this business

Tour Seattle on a refurbished World War II amphibious landing craft. The 90-minute tour includes such attractions as the Pike Place Market and Pioneer Square. Then this strange vehicle plunges into Lake Union. The tour cruises past many houseboats and other lake sights. Tickets can be purchased between the base of the Space Needle and the Monorail Terminal at Seattle Center. Tours leave every hour during the summer, less frequently in the off season.

Great way to get a city preview and get out on the water in a unique vehicle. The drivers are fun upbeat tour guides while being part comic and part music DJ to keep the whole time enjoyable and engaging. Ask for seats on the right side when buying your tickets - slightly less obscured views. Four stars instead of five only because of the pricey parking on top of your tour cost - but it IS located downtown (base of the space needle) where real estate comes dearly priced.

I've gone twice with visitors from out of town and it was a blast both times! It's great to have captains who enjoy their job and help create an atmosphere where everyone is smiling, laughing and having fun! Totally worth the $$$!

We were in Seattle with our girl scout troop over Memorial Day weekend 2014. Cap'n Tuck n Roll was our driver & he absolutely made our ride the ducks tour a blast! (Not for someone looking for a quiet ride thru town.) He had so much energy, was sooooo funny & full of fun Seattle facts & stories. Of all the tourist attractions we visited that weekend (& we saw a lot of 'em!), this tour was my fave. Highly recommend.
