Update 8/4/25: I finally got my title and plates after many phone calls with Ride Shack and Secretary of State. I added 1 star to my original review, as they did compensate me for me not having access to my car for almost 2 weeks, wasting my time trying to figure things out, and the stress it caused. Was that enough? I don't think so but at least it was something, and more than I expected from a small dealership. At first they did try to get away with just saying sorry. I had a wonderful experience with Ride Shack and especially JJ our sales associate. The process was clear and smooth from start to finish and the car was just as expected — in great shape upon purchase and doing just as great after a couple months of driving. My son bought his first car from JJ. They made it a seamless transaction and were extremely helpful since we came over 3 hours to purchase the car. Very easy to work with and honest. Was a pleasure doing business with them.
Bought a 09 Forester in April 2025. High mileage, but we thought the price was fair after test driving. Less than an hour driving, all the lights come up, including catalytic converter. Starts misfiring. Well, expected the worst when we bought an old car, and got the worst. At least the misfiring was from the previous mechanic putting on a part incorrectly.
