excellent delightful cookies!!! visiting from cali!
I have always loved Rick's Bakery but, they really missed the mark with the German Chocolate cake last week. First it was a dark chocolate - like a devil's food cake and then the icing was really bad. I would give them a minus rating!
I used to be a HUGE fan of Ricks Bakery!! I swore they were the absolute best and got all our cakes there ALWAYS!! Then was my daughter's first birthday, I ordered the cake and paid for it well in advance ( almost $100 cake) and they forgot to deliver it. Cake is pretty much the center point of a first birthday party, I was able to finally get a hold of them 5 min before close after calling non stop for 30 min...they said they would be on the way ( this was half an hour after it was already supposed to be delivered) They got... read more

I just picked up the world's ugliest cake for my daughter's birthday. They let me leave upset since there wasn't an easy fix and they were busy - I'm SHOCKED at the poor customer service and decorating skills. We spend hundreds of dollars every year on our all our occasion cakes from there. At least I know it'll taste good, and my daughter thinks that #allcakesarebeautiful.
Okay I just have to RAVE about Rick's really quick. I had come here with a future employer before accepting a job and my baby girl and I recently moved here for that job. It's her first birthday and we don't know anyone in town yet. I thought Rick's would be good for something from the gift shop and something sweet for her. I got her a balloon and a mini cake.
