We moved about an hour away 4 years ago and I still make the drive to Dry Creek Pediatric Dentistry. It’s worth it for me when my kids get excited to go to the dentist. The staff is so friendly and it’s such a positive environment. I often joke it’s like going to a carnival. My kids leave with prizes, balloon animals and a big smile on their faces. No other place compares.
Took my 2 month old in for a consult on a lip tie. Sure enough! She had one and Dr Richter was able to laser it at that appointment. BF'ing has been amazing since getting this taken care of. I recommend Dr Richter to anyone if you are having problems with breastfeeding. My midwife and family Dr both said she wasn't tied but breastfeeding still wasn't going well and she had a hard time gaining weight. I took her to Dr Richter to see if something else was wrong. My special needs son hated going to the dentist. He wouldn’t even open his mouth. He now loves it and always asks when we can go back. He had to be sedated for some fillings and a crown. I was very nervous but Dr. Richter kept me informed and answered every question I had. He listened to all my concerns and answered honestly. I have a set of boy-girl twins and we have been coming to Dry Creek since they were 1. My son has autism and Dr. Richter is amazing with him. He has a very shallow gag reflex but Dr. Richter is always able to get in and examine his teeth fully. He also has weak enamel and had to have sedation work done when he was 2, and it went very smoothly. My son is now 9 and is going to need some more sedation work coming up. The dental hygienists are top-notch. They took careful note of my kids' special needs and were especially patient, kind and gentle. The dentist was very polite and made sure I had no questions or concerns. The kids love the TV on the ceiling and having their own access to the remote. They also say this place "has the best prizes" to choose from at the end. As if all that wasn't enough, they have free lip balm and sugar-free suckers on the way out.
Our first visit with my two little girls was wonderful. All of the staff were exceptional and my girls love this dentist office. Dr. Richter is thorough, patient and does great work. Laser dentistry with no needles? Yes, please!
Dr Richter is the best! He has been taking care of our kids for 12 years. I have been so impressed with his expertise, his kind way of interacting with each of my children and the excellent care he has given our family. I would recommend him with great confidence to any of my family or friends. Not only does he and his excellent staff provide excellent care but they also encourage kindness in the community. He and his staff are the best!! Great care and great example!!
Dr. Richter is amazing. I loved taking my little 5 month old to him. getting ties revised is scary and Dr. Richter made the experience as good as possible. I was sure we were getting the best care.
I think he's a good doctor and we'll stick with him, he's very nice and knowledgeable, and fixes common oral defects w/laser--a huge plus. Disappointments: include an old scale that was way off on my child's weight for surgery, and a media-filled waiting room (children under 2/3 shouldn't watch any TV--AAP). FYI: the laser surgery children can be awake for won't happen until they're nearly old enough to graduate from the pediatrician's office, little ones are put under like at other places.
