They are slow and they leave u in the lobby for hours...my son has been there quite a few times and i have had to leave and walk out to take him somewhere else...I wouldnt take my dog there ..This hospital is a piece of s#it...

Richmond Memorial Hospital can be good at times. With my experience there ,it was good. But I’ve had family and friends go and the staff would be just plan rude to them. The wait time was long in the E.R. Meaning hours of waiting. The staff on the floors or what is left of the floors. Was good to them. They should get more staffing there so the nurses and doctors wouldn’t be so stressed out. And hopefully that would help with some of their rudeness. Bc the stress would be some what lifted. Poor service. Long ER wait times. “Treating” more than what your complaint is (came in by ambulance for a fall -ended up being treated for a urinary tract infection). In actuality, I had an asymptomatic, sub-acute prostate infection that I’ve had recurring for the past 40 years so the medication prescribed was ineffective. After having an IV, EKG, CXR & Head Ct scan (my only trauma was to my RT Anterior Chest) they gave me prescriptions for antibiotics & pain killers and sent me home. Total time about 4 hours. By treating patients no matter how they arrived to the hospital maybe some people don't want to spend $600 on a ride to the hospital by ambulance
This hospital is a joke. You come to a hospital thinking you will be treated good &' leave with some kind of results &' relief. I've been here for two hours now &' they haven't told me anything. The nurses are only worried about having a gossip session which included coming in my room to talk about other nurses &' patients here which is clearly against the law. The nurse didn't do my IV right which caused me to bleed all over myself, the floor, the bed, my clothes &' the wall. NEVER COME HERE IF YOU WANT A ACCURATE DIAGNOSIS... read more
