Highly recommend Richmond Hearing Doctors! I met with Dr. Shearer, and was examined, took a through hearing test in a nice testing room, and then we went over the results.He explained the results in language I could understand, and provided actionable suggestions how to listen better, and positioning to favor my right ear, which I have slightly better hearing in. Wonderful staff very nice but when we (Wife and I) walked into the practice no one was at the reception desk. We waited 10 minutes or so and then I went to the door which had a buzzer and opened it two or three times. Finally someone came out to greet us. The Appointment went very well and the fee very reasonable. I needed hearing aids, I knew this before showing up. In the end I settled on one of the better aids at over 6K. The staff at the West End location were very friendly and professional! Dr. Dan Shearer was knowledgeable, friendly, professional, and thorough. He took the time to explain the hearing test process with me and discuss the results with me. He was patient and kind in answering questions - I felt at ease discussing the results with him and I did not feel rushed. Top notch care!
From start to finish the experience was fabulous. The receptionist was one of the most courteous people I dealt with. And the doctor was amazing. Spent soooo much time with me explaining my options. He listened patiently and thoroughly to my issues. I highly recommend this practice.
I am a physician who retired from the faculty at UCLA four years ago and moved to Richmond. I have worn hearing aids for 30 years and had excellent care in Los Angeles. I scoured available audiology sites in Richmond and decided on Richmond Hearing Doctors. My wife also wears hearing aids and the two of us have had outstanding care by audiologist Kim Imajo.
