Good with pets and people! As long as i can remember my family has always taken our pets (at least the cats and dogs) to Richland Vet for their checkups, shots, and more serious health problems. Over the years our spaniel developed a thyroid problem, and the vets were very compassionate to our situation and thourough with their examination and treatment of our animals. I drive a big truck from South Carolina and was in the area on delivery. Yesterday my dog broke a nail and I called every vet office from Richmond VA to here , including this vet . To begin with they said no , they are not taking new clients, I explained my situation to the receptionist , she asked Dr. Dan and he said to come on in. I knew it was a really quick procedure to pull the nail off. Dr. Dan is a wonderful vet and person. Excellent "bedside manner " and just all around a good guy.
RecommendedMy little cat, Luna, was severely sick with intestinal lymphoma, and I am so grateful to Dr. Trout and Dr. Bukowski and the staff at Richland Veterinary Hospital for giving me the best advice on treatment and end-of-life care for her. When it was her time, they were extremely comforting and supportive with the decisions that needed to be made.
After spending a lot of time reflecting on my dog passing away suddenly I realized that in the wake of current society my vet had failed me. I learned that they not only argued with my mother about her bringing the dog, stating it needed to be an emergency, I think when a dog isn’t breathing right it is an emergency, but they also didn’t allow my mom to go in with her. I am so pleased with the care and treatment my dog received today and I am also pleased with the thorough precautions Richland Vet is taking to protect patients and staff during the Covid-19 pandemic. I brought my dog in for an emergency visit this morning. Not only was the staff friendly, helpful, and professional, they also exercised social distancing and safety precautions. We had an emergency and they are close to home. I called, explained everything and they had me bring in our chocolate lab. When I pulled into their lot, 3 techs came out before I could get out of my truck. They took Bella inside where Dr Tiffany did a quick exam, explained everything she would be doing and she delivered great news in the end. Great facility and AWESOME staff....thanks!
