Dr Schwimmer is always available, he is by far the best pediatrician I know. We went there even after we moved from Brooklyn to New Jersey.
Be careful! I kept quiet for so long and only recently able to talk about what happened when I was 11 years old and Richard Shwimmer touched me inappropriately after splitting my sister in separate rooms and I was alone with him. I was too young to know better how wrong it was and when I talk to Professionals today they express in horror how it is sexual assault. I remember it as though it happened yesterday. Be careful! Stay safe! He is very insensitive when it comes to mental health.
Talk about old school. Dr. Schwimmer & PA Marc Shaffren are friendly, knowledgeable and always reachable! They have on more than one occasion diagnosed obscure things over the phone just based on symptoms (with confirmation upon physical examination, of course) Doreen & the staff are friendly and treat you with respect and compassion, which is pretty amazing considering the many horrible experiences I've had with other practices (Rude staff & unreachable doctors).
