Went in for an EGD today. Everyone there was very sweet, laid back and informative. The procedure was quick and painless and Dr. Mailoux talked to me before and after the procedure. Highly recommended.
Saved my life after gallbladder removal (I waited too long, a different doctor removed it, and a few stones had slipped into my bile ducts). Dr. M. was very professional and answered all of my questions. I am so thankful for his expertise and abilities with ERCP so they didn't have to go back in laparoscopically. The stones caused horrible intractable pain and as soon as I woke up from the scope, I could tell a huge difference. My liver labs were way better the next day.
Mailloux is one of the single most disgusting unprofessional doctors I have ever had the displeasure of seeing. He's dismissive, arrogant, homophobic, and racist. He treated me like I was too stupid to understand my own care, and does not allow patients to advocate for themselves. He had the audacity to put his head on his hand like he was bored and ask me how I knew I had leukemia and did I self diagnose. Gave me an accurate diagnosis when others could/ did not and got me on the right medication to keep it under control.
