Friendly welcome by staff and colleagues. Dr Howell enters the room with a smile and a shot but has a way of making you feel at ease as he administering a shot. Always a good visit!
Dr. Richard Howell did surgery on my left hand .He is now sending me to Physical Therapy which will help me to strengthen my hand.I am glad to have been a patient of Dr. Howell and would recommend him to my family or friends.
I had a good experience with Dr. Howell ten years ago for my other carpal tunnel surgery and I fully trust his expertise in this subject matter to perform my other surgery. During my appointments he clearly explained what was happening, and after further nerve studies showed that the carpal tunnel had progressed to the point of needing the release surgery. We then discussed the plan and what the recovery expectations would generally be.
Having been Dr Howell’s patient some years ago, I knew this was going to be a good visit! He explained what was causing the pain and what he needed to do to alleviate it. I left knowing I was on the road to recovery. Dr Howell is personable, professional and approachable. It was indeed a good choice of a physician and a good visit.

Dr. Howell is very personable, professional, and knowledgeable. He entered the treatment room on my first visit well prepared, having reviewed my x-rays from the ER after I broke two joints and a bone in my hand from a fall. He explained the treatment plan to me, why he positioned my hand the way he did in the splint, and answered all questions clearly. He had his PA follow up every couple of weeks with x-rays to insure one bone in particular did not shift out of place, hoping to avoid a need for surgery. It was a success! N... read more
Dr. Howell is very professional to talk to. He explained the possibilities regarding my hand very well. Although it's nerve-wracking, I am ready for my hand surgery and have great trust in Dr. Howell. I know I can handle this for my recovery. I will just wait for my surgery schedule. I am happy that he is my doctor.
