First of all their appointment staff's quality of customer service was very inconsistent. There was one who was dismissive, and wouldn't entertain setting up an appointment even with the referral notes being on it's way. Then the other staff was more effective and friendlier and was able to get us in soon. Now, with Dr. Hood he was very dismissive with my husband's Tinnitus case, literally no extra checking send him off to take some OTC pills and best of luck with that. Well, going somewhere else after this appointment. We w... read more
All 3 of my young boys have seen Dr. Hood now for various ENT related issues and has been nothing short of amazing every time we see him. My middle son had kissing tonsils at 2 years old, we were referred to CHKD ENT and they put him through so many unnecessary tests such as a sleep study, speech evaluation and wanted to do an endoscopy. They did not listen to my concerns for his speech or quality of life at that point. We scheduled an appt with Dr. Hood, since he put my older son's ear tubes in a year earlier and Dr. Hood t... read more
Dr Hood is an excellent ENT. He takes the time to listen and goes above and beyond to help with my on going salivary gland issue.
Dr. Hood is my favorite doctor. I was a young teenager when I started seeing Dr. Hood. I have not had any problems with him. I am very disappointed and very hurt by his allergy department. One allergy nurse is very inconsiderate and has an attitude like she is the only person that has knowledge about things.
I have been suffering with eustachian tube disfunction for several months. Dr. Hood examined my ears and found no fluid or wax. He ordered a hearing test that I passed with flying colors. He recommended that I plug my nose and pop my ears. Of course, I have tried several ear popping methods on my own. Appointment was a total waste of time!
Dr Hood was poor. He did not help me; I still have my medical problem, which is a very simple one. I am a professor in the sciences, and when I tried to discuss my problem, he showed me he was severely limited in his understanding of physiology and medicine. He was very pompous and thought very highly of himself, but he was had dull intelligence. He relied on the stock phrase, "I am the doctor." He was poor, and I am now in search of another ENT physician. I cannot recommend him to anyone.
Dr. Hood is very personable and professional. Have been assosiated with going on ten years for age related hearing loss. I had a virus that caused a "Sudden Hearing Loss" in left ear and went for consultation. By that time, the ear had recovered. But he took the time to examin the outter ear and found an abnormal coating on the ear drum and removed it. That in itself improved my hearing in the left ear in conjunction with my hearing aid. Professional and personable. A very good combination.
Had a septoplasty done by Dr. Hood two years ago to correct my deviated septum and my septum is still deviated. He didn’t even order a CT scan...he just went into surgery to operate on me blindly. Now I have to try and find another ENT to fix my septum, which should have been done already. A lot of money was spent and wasted to correct my septum which has been causing breathing problems my entire life. I’m more disappointed that I’m going to have to go through this entire process again someday.
I got sick the end of January with what at first seemed like bronchitis. Main problem was post nasal drip and persistent nagging cough. visits to my primary care physician two visits to an allergy asthma doctor. Pulmonary function test to check for asthma creating the cough and still no true answers to my symptoms. I saw Dr. Hood and in 10 minutes he figured out I had a really really bad sinus infection in one of my left sinuses. He is amazing!!!!! thank you so much Dr. Hood!!!!
