This was probably the worst "therapy" I have received. For starters, it feels like a mental hospital or as if you're on probation rather than a counseling center or place to help. For anyone under 18 years old, they make them fill out a depression sheet every time without fail (similar to a probation sheet). Additionally, the nurses and other medical assistants are miserable and seem like they hate their jobs, pretty ironic imo for a psychiatric help center. I’m a sixteen year old girl, and had Angelica as my art therapist for the past year. I originally went because I had recently been sexually assaulted, and then kept therapy over time because of anxiety, my father’s cancer diagnosis, and various friends of mine having mental health issues that had also weighed on me. She was a good therapist and I liked therapy with her, but I have been struggling more recently and once a week has not been doing it for me. I strongly suggest seeking care at another facility. Very unfortunately, my mental health was in a significantly worse state being treated here. When I shared my Richard Hall experiences with other (mental) health care professionals, they were alarmed and advised I leave immediately. My wellbeing has improved since.
Wasted my time doing a phone intake to only tell me after the fact, that they are refusing to see me because I use marijuana occasionally to help with my insomnia. Apparently anyone who uses any kind of substance is not welcome as a new patient in this facility. Because sleep deprivation is something people should deal with if they want help with their mental health.
