Dr Richard Foster saw me as his patient in May 2017 and as his patient again for the second time today. We need more thorough and caring Doctors such as Dr. Richard Foster and I highly recommend him.

I saw Dr Foster last year. My GP sent me to St V as indicators showed I had a serious liver issue. I had jaundice. The hospital couldnt figure out what was going on. I literally walked out and was lucky to see Doc Foster. He knew i needed a series of specific blood tests to dial down and figure things out. He is very confident and for good reason, as he knows what he is doing. This is the type of doctor one would hope for. I dont need hand holding, I need a doc that is a straight shooter and knows what he is doing. In the en... read more

I have read the reviews and some state that Dr. Foster has no bedside manner, and that he is rude. Both my wife and myself are patients of Dr. Foster and I have always found him caring and concerned. He spends time and actually talks and listens. We changed to Dr. Foster 2 years ago when our other Gastroenterologist stopped taking our insurance and it turned to be a blessing. Our past doctor was very fast and would get you in and out ASAP which may be what some are looking for but I appreciate the time Dr. Foster spends, I w... read more

I really don't like to complain about Physicians because it takes them an incredible amount of devotion and dedication to get their degrees. Dr. Foster may be a very qualified and credible doc, but he evidently missed the lectures on congenial bedside manner. I think it would advantage him greatly to listen to patients without correcting them constantly and he could cool down the ego just a bit. Arrogance just doesn't earn any respect from me at all. He may be every bit as good as he thinks he is, but I really prefer to util... read more

SUCH AN ARROGANT DOCTOR!!! DO NOT SELECT HIM !!! He does not listen to the patient and also accused my mom of lying about her on going diagnosis with ulcerative colitis. He is very rude and has made very rude comments. DO NOT PICK HIM IN THIS OFFICE! He's not the least bit friendly and has made us very uncomfortable. Foster does not treat his patients with respect.

I would give 0 stars if able to. He is very arrogant and not a good listener. Accused me of lying about diagnoses from previous Drs. and questioned lab results that were done in years past at HRH. I ended up taking over-the-counter meds that made my condition worse, which I called back and questioned and he upped the dose. Went back to my original Dr. and was diagnosed correctly and started doing the complete opposite of what Dr. Foster said to do and was back to normal within a week.
