Went to him for a session because I was depressed. Didn’t really seem interested and refused to give me anti depressants because “they cause addiction”… aren’t you supposed to help patients? Especially depression patients at risk. Then he has me paying $350 because my insurance “wouldn’t accept him” when I checked with them before. Save your money seriously… I got recommended to a let down
He has been my Dr for a few years. He is very accommodating and kind. Helpful and listens every session.

Grumpy, old, troubled, old-fashioned, pompous, arrogant and needs to retire. I had one session with Dr. Kaplan earlier this year that was ok and I did a second session with him a month later. In the second session, he was very grumpy, agitated and ended our session abruptly because my views did not align with his. He is very compassionate and also professional. I don’t feel rushed when I’m at my appointment and he actually listens. A little kindness goes a long way.
