I came today for a visit after approx 2 month wait for the appointment. I was asked to come 15 minutes early. I arrived as requested. The office personnel were busy with some stuff in the back office. After waiting 45 minutes I was getting impatient (standing as tired of sitting) and ready to leave but went to the bathroom and came back. I and amother patient started talking. Extremely disappponted I have been a patient of Dr. Ranard for 10+ years and since I now have Medicare with bcbs Fep they will no longer accept me as a patient unless I SELF PAY.
Dr. Ranard is very knowledgeable, one of the top GI specialists in the area. He is careful and really took time to listen to me. When I had questions and concerns he always called me back (even after hours) and gave me his full attention. I really appreciate his thoroughness and care. I would highly recommend him to anyone with GI issues.
Incredibly helpful and responsive! Went way out of his way to help out answering my questions regarding some pain I was having following a colonoscopy. Dr. Ranard actually met me in his office on a Saturday morning when he was doing paperwork there to make sure the pain did not require additional treatment and encouraged me to contact him at anytime should there be a problem. He couldn't have done more to provide support for a potential complication.
Dr. Richard C. Ranard has provided outstanding care to my husband and me for more than ten years. We value his superb diagnostic skills and comprehensive, thorough procedures. More recently Dr. Ranard compassionately worked me into his already full schedule when I developed an unexpected problem. I am grateful to his quick response to my stressful situation. We always have found Dr. Ranard to be an exceptionally competent gastroenterologist, as well as, caring & sensitive to patients' needs.
He was incredibly rude to me after I canceled my appointment a week in advance. He called me rude and inconsiderate and acted in a very unprofessional manner. His office clearly made a mistake by not canceling my appointment so it's not his (the doctors) fault but the unprofessional manner and tone he used to accuse me was wrong and unprofessional.
