first time i ever went to eye doctor and they took advantage of me not knowing any better. failed to give me eyeglass and eye contact prescription. reported to state board. he received a hefty fine!
Dr. Angrist is the best eye doctor around. I had an unknown eye infection. The 1st doctor did not know what it is. Dr angrist said he also does not know. But he asked if I still want to ware my contact lens. I said definately. He said then we will treat it this way. My eyes got better. He did not judge me for wanting to ware contact lense, unless the doctor before him and the specialist he refered me to after. Under his care, my eyes got better and I am still waring contact lenses.
Was seen in the Point Pleasant. State insisted I see my 6th eye Doctor so I went. Not even sure where to begin.. This is not Exaggerated add all. The office was old and run down, had a very Foul odor. Front desk girl didn't even say hello! Very unfriendly. Waited over an hour. He literally yells down the hallway to his next patient. Doesn't even come out to call you or have a nurse bring you back, just shouts! Can't say a word because 'Eye of the tiger' ringtone is blasting as his ringtone . It goes off every 2 minutes. Left my elderly mother in tears with high blood pressure. She was waiting for 1.5 hours while many patients walking in through the door were being seen pretty immediately, receptionist told her "you have to wait, you are a new patient". After my mom mentioned to the receptionist again that she has been waiting for 1.5 hours her response was "so what, lady before you waited for two hours". What kind of customer service is this? (2 of 2) All the providers including Angrist also leave the exam doors wide open so that the entire practice can hear your private health conversations, which likely is a breach of patients’ rights to privacy. Patients in the waiting room are packed in like sardines (they severely overschedule). Angrist will also just reach his hands in your face with an eye dropper and drop things into your eye before you can even get a chance to ask what it is (or say you’re allergic to them!) Simply just 5 Star in all respects.
I can’t recommend Dr Angrist. He has several offices and he is incredibly busy. The result is that I felt very rushed through the exam and visit. It seemed to me that Dr A’s mind was definitely not on me.
The small waiting room was full. Although everyone was wearing a mask, there was no other COVID protocols. No temp check, no hand sanitizer. I had to fill out a form. I was told I could wash my hands in the exam room later where paper towels were on the top of a cabinet behind me. As I was entering the exam room, he was loudly yelling at his assistant. They don't like to wear masks in this office and the doctor handed me a script but couldn't tell me why i needed glasses
