My mom was at a hospital down the road from Rush and was told she had lung cancer that spread to her brain, but operating wasn't an option. I was so blessed to get a consultation with Dr. Byrne to show him her MRI. He was very concerned the other hospital wasn't going to remove the tumor and rather wanted to start radiation the next day so he called the department chair of neurosurgery of that hospital and quickly realized my mom never actually had a neurosurgery consultation, rather was only seen by oncology!!!
