At the time of my near-fatal accident, the assigned physician became involved in my care after I sustained multiple fractures to my spine and sternum, along with other significant internal injuries. During my hospitalization, I was experiencing severe pain and limited mobility. When the physician evaluated me, I reported that I was unable to move my legs.
