Excellent, Excellent knee replacement surgeon and care all around! Additionally, the staff is competent and caring and stays on top of letting you know what you should be doing in preparation and what needs to be done for follow up.
Dr. Berger performed my hip replacement 2 years ago and it changed my life. I didn't realize how much pain I was in until I woke up after surgery. Surgery was performed at 7:30 am and I was home at 3 pm. Dr. Berger is a surgery "god" and I highly recommend him for his professionalism and compassion.
I have been told Dr Berger does not take any insurance or Medicare. He said on wgn TV that he does lots of charity hip and knee replacements. That is wonderful. So someone who is not poverty level and has medicare cannot use him unless you pay cash. Paying that large amount of cash would put us and others in a bad spot. So basically if more doctors start being cash only, then only the really rich or really poor can use them. Sad
