Update - Feeling grateful after a second total knee replacement with Dr. Richard Berger on March 24, 2026. The experience again exceeded expectations. In my first PT session just one week after surgery, I had already recovered a very significant range of knee motion and was well on the road to recovery. I’m two weeks out from surgery, getting ready for outpatient PT. I’ve had minimal pain and am able to do much more than pre-surgery. Every part of this knee replacement has exceeded expectations- the pre-training session, exercises, get well communication loop- everything! My walking is moving towards normal already. I’m lucky to have a spouse assisting me with the ice machine and other items… we have to travel for this and it was well worth it. I had a total hip replacement a few weeks ago and I couldn’t be happier. No swelling and very little pain the 1st 48 hours. I quit taking pain medicine after the 2nd day. Dr. Berger and his staff are very professional and they know their job. They answer all of my questions and educate me on what to expect and what I should I should be doing.
