About this business
Celebrating almost 90 years in the South Bay, our first location was established in 1927 and when Glade White and Foster Day joined in partnership in 1946, locations in Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach and Redondo Beach were in place. Merging with other South Bay families, Rice Mortuary in Torrance was added in 1985 along with McCormick Mortuary locations in Gardena and Inglewood in 2003. We continue to be family-owned, serving the entire South Bay community and beyond.

The staff were professional and caring, providing excellent service at a reasonable cost and ensuring a smooth process and all seamless arrangements. We highly appreciated.
I feel bad for the one-star experiences. I didn't receive anything but professional service and care. Mom had her service here, and last month my wife had hers. expedient and professional, nothing short of that. They displayed care and understanding. If you need a place to have a service, not intending to sound dark or anything, use Lighthouse on Torrance Blvd. Exemplary.
The customer service was good. My complaint was that my mother didn't look as expected. I specifically requested that her hair and makeup be a certain way. When I showed up to do a final inspection and was throughly disappointed. I had to do my mother's hair and makeup. I'd added a flower to her hair for the final touch. STAY AWAY. They went through with the service my loved one with out telling the children and family .They also made a mistake on not getting a death certificate. No compassion, just greed. This is an awful place.they weren’t able to put her to rest and the family
