This review is not on the physician, it is on the office staff and their lack of response to message sent through the patient portal. I was trying to get a prescription refilled. The pharmacy had contacted the office for approval and never received it. I sent four messages to the office using the patient portal and never received a response on any of them. This is not the first time this has happened. I would hope that some one would address this behavior and lack of caring by the office staff.
I could not be happier with Dr. Escamilla and his office staff. They are so courteous and sincerely so. Dr. Escamilla takes the time to go over any concerns you may have and you do not feel rushed to get you in and out.
Wonderful Dr. all around. I would recommend him highly.
Dr. Escamilla has been my primary care doctor for over five years. He is a warm, compassionate, and excellent physician who oversees the "big" picture of my healthcare. He is very responsive to my variety of heath issues. I recommend him highly.

I did not see him I saw his nurse practitioner, very unhappy and won't be returning. First of all she said she gave me 90 days refills but I did not have enough on my blood pressure because she wrote it wrong, secondly she did blood work which was rejected by Medicare saying she did not say why this was necessary and I am being charged 245.00 for blood work which should have Been covered. So no I will not recommend them . Oh and on top of that they have lost a payment I made in April
Dr Escamilla is a great Dr. His staff is the reason for this review. Myself and my wife have tried to make appointments because of a sudden illness or health that requires immediate attention and have NEVER been able to see him. Staff will not call you back. Also you pay close attention to your bill when you schedule to go in for a physical which with my insurance is at no cost to me. It will be coded as a visit and you will be billed as such. Office manger is no help. Happens every year.
I have been going to Dr.Escamilla since I was 15 years old I am now 27 and continue to go because he is the best! Very easy to talk to, makes you feel comfortable. I had a really horrible time coping with my depression and life events and he helped me get back on track and really cares for your health! Office staff could be nicer but just keep in mind they work for the hospital not him so not his fault! Highly recommend he does way more for his patients than most doctors. Excellent job
I like his attention and concerns for my health. Best doctor I have ever had. Thank you for everything you do for us. God bless
