Dr. Silva is great. Always explains things thoroughly and answers all my questions. I find him extremely compassionate. Others mention problems with insurance, copays, etc. all of which are out of Dr.Silva's control.
Yeah, on the way out I overheard Dr. Silva and his assistant joking about black people in Spanish. Well, I'm black and I know Spanish. Grew up in California and took 5 years of classes. I'm calling today to cancel appointments and transfer somewhere else. Why people think blacks are ignorant is beyond me, but I learned a third one as well so when my wife and I travel I can adjust more people about demeaning black people.
As a established patient I was very insulted that Dr Silva refused to see me as I inadvertently forgot to bring my purse ( first time in 72 years) and because I didn't have my $20 co pay .He told his nurse to reschedule me!! In what medical world does not being able to pay $20 more important than your health. Not to mention he would still get hundreds from my insurance. Great office great Doctor
If you're looking for a doctor who is thorough, competent, determined to get to the core source of your symptomatic concerns by asking as many questions possible, a professional who consistently remains up to date on the latest medical news/information to provide the most accurate diagnosis necessary for each of his patients' health matters.
