There's nothing fancy about eating tender BBQ ribs at this casual hang. The atmosphere here makes it the perfect spot to get that delicious sauce all over your face. Free peanuts are available in huge barrels and most of the shells wind up on the floor. For those who'd prefer to pass on the red meat (which is a shame) there's always Mary's Delight, a skinless, boneless breast of chicken covered with that same, sweet sauce.

Chewy Ribs & Beef – Baby back ribs should fall right off the bone. These ribs were tough & chewy. Seemed to be undercooked. the sauces were a bit week too. Went there from the site review here & won't go back till they learn how to handle the meats better.
BBQ FEEDBACK – Very good service. She was fast, pleasant and always returned to check on us. She apologized for the food saying that it's usually much better. She said that the cooks tend to overcook rather than undercook the entrees. For us, overcook means grisly & tough. That's what we got. Truly a bad meal from the food standpoint. We'll return again next week ti see if it was an aberation.
overrated – Was disappointed in the quality of meats. The service was decent but the meats, ugh. Gotta be the worst hot links I've ever had. Like a tepid hot dog. No heat, no spice. I liked the free peanuts but I didn't go for the nuts. I went for the barbeque & left underwhelmed. Forget it.
great place I will never forg – 8 of us had dinner. Between us we figured weve ate at aprox. 500 bbq establishments. After this treat all but one thought this was the greatest.She gave Ribs Usa a close second behind Corkys in Tenn. All of us will be back many times. I can!t wait to show of my new find friends, kids, grandchildren.
Not Too Bad – Not a bad place, near the studios. We found the barbeque OK, not great, not bad. The service was the highlight of our visit. The hot links were nothing more than a spicy hot dog. Try the hot links at Leo's BBQ on Crenshaw Blvd. That's a hot link. This is an average place that does a decent job. Not worth a trip from Santa Monica.
Great ribs...but – a sports bar atmosphere, but will excellent BBQ. Prices are a bit high, at $21 for a slab of ribs.
Best Ribs in LA – The ribs are fantastic if slightly overpriced. The sandwiches only rate 7-8 out of 10. Free peanuts in a barrel in front. Sports bar atmosphere. Good service.
the best bbq joint in town!! – quite simply - the best place for ribs in the LA area - since i was introduced to the greatness of ribs usa, i've frequented the place once a week. even the catfish dish, which isn't a bbq staple, is damn tasty! -ken
great ribs 'American' atmosphere – Very rare do you find restaurant ads be precise with the actual thing. Well here is someplace where you will find exactly what they advertised. Their ribs were so tender that it indeed did 'fall off the bones' when you ate. The atmosphere was ok. It wasn't romantic or anything. Resembled a tin shack transformed into a sports bar. Would recommend for romantic occasions unless your partner is a meat lover who can care less.
