Absolutely horrible care for a dog bite. Sutured it closed and was infected the next day!!! Treated at UVM properly for infection and proper treatments of initial wound. Kept overnight with IV and antibiotics, sent home with proper care items and instructions! RIH sucks so bad that they don’t even know basics of bite treatment. WTF?
RI Hospital – totally unconcerned about people with disabilities Recently, I had a procedure that, because of sedation, required someone to take me home. This is my wife. She is disabled and requires a walker. The hospital does provide handicapped parking spots. The problem is that to get from these spots into the main entrance to the hospital requires a long walk, part of which is very much uphill. Very difficult for someone with a walker, maybe impossible for someone in wheelchair without assistance. It is total insanity!!... read more
