RecommendedAs we walked into Roddies (a warm yet cool bike shop) Brian ask how they might help. We said we’re from Charlotte, in the hills for a sanity check, and are bike shopping for my Lady. Brian looked at us and said ‘I have the bike for you’. Brian and his dad have the knowledge and ability to make anyone ‘whole and complete’ regarding bicycling. Thank you both for taking care of us.
This is why we patronize locally owned bike shops; my husband was on a long group ride in the Boone area, had a flat and the spare tubular was not holding air. Thank goodness he was close to Blowing Rock. A stop at Rhoddies and Brian got him back on the road quickly by insisting he borrow a whole front wheel (for safety) while Brian glued on a new tubular for my husband to pick up after-hours that evening. Brian and Matt are both experienced, knowledgeable and congenial. The shop is a high end bike shop with good product and good attitude.

Brian and Matt guided our group from the Endurance Edge on 2 days of riding on the Blue Ridge Parkway and around Aho Gap. They were amazing guides, super accommodating and human GPS’s of all the best roads. Brian even took a detour by his house to grab a jacket and extra layers for one of our cyclists who was a bit chilly. Matt was super patient with some of our newer cyclists and took great care of them to make sure they had an enjoyable and safe experience in the NC Mountains.
