Do NOT do business with Reese Houghton of RH Custom Painting - Pinnacle, RH Painting LLC, etc etc. We will be taking him to court. We paid a deposit via check and he disappeared. There is a reason he asks for cash/venmo/checks up front. Like many others he has duped, we fell for his hospital sob stories. We should have done our research online, so this was a harsh lesson learned.

Sure wish I had looked at the reviews before I recommended him to a client. I now have to take him to small claims court for $1,872. Seems like I will never see that money again. He did do one job for me on time so I fell for it and hired him again.

My husband is another victim of a lost (actually stolen) deposit by Reece. At first the weather was to blame and then he told us he had been in the hospital but it has now been 9 months since he cashed our check. He's no longer answering his messages. We will file in small claims court and also report this to Thumbtack (that's where we got his name with good reviews).

Reese Houghton was contracted to paint my home, asked and received a substantial deposit and never showed up to perform the work. This is someone that should NOT be hired for any work of any kind. If you do engage him you should definitely NEVER give him any money in advance. There is an abundance of information and reviews available so investigate thoroughly and decided for yourself... buyer beware UPDATE Refunded deposit

Buyer beware. Unfortunately the owner of this painting company has a criminal history, which he sadly seems to not have recovered from. His previous company was Pinnacle Painting, and he has a complaint with the Better Business Bureau that resulted in "work not done" after a deposit was made that ended up in small claims court. He also took advertising out with me, and did not pay, or return calls or texts. His advertising has since been cancelled so we are not out more money.
