Retreat was a wonderful experience!! All staff were very friendly & helpful. I have never been in rehab before and they made my first time experience the best it could be, the encouragement I got in the group sessions by both the lead counselor & fellow clients were very helpful & made me feel able to open up about my addiction
Retreat's outpatient program kept me engaged and sober directly after exiting their live-in inpatient facility. I attended IOP for about 10 months when the meeting room was still attached to the original New Haven facility. I understand that they have since moved so I can't speak to the actual new building, but the staff, particularly Heather Chapin was absolutely amazing! Retreat was a total game changer for me. I refused to admit that there was an issue. I had everything under control. How wrong I was and blinded by stubbornness. At the request of my wife and family, I conceded and agreed to give Retreat a chance to speak. I only agreed to listen, no guarantees. From that moment forward my life completely changed. Though I hate to admit it, I did the rehab revolving door in 2022. That was until I found the retreat. The staff, down to techs, kitchen staff and reception were so incredibly kind and helpful. The medical and addiction staff made sure you were busy all day with groups, all which were highly informative. They are hosted by therapists, that you get to know, even if they aren’t your own.
