Had a retina detachment a few years ago and they had helped me but once it happened again they turned a blind eye and tried sending me to a Seattle clinic and were very uninterested in helping me again. Not sure how I am supposed to drive over an hour to a clinic with half of my vision- regardless would NOT recommend this place very rude and doesn't seem keen on helping people.
Been seeing Dr. Brenda M Powell for 3 yrs since moving here. Treated for BRVO with injections, I love Dr. Powell she is very thorough explains in detail everything, answers your questions, goes out of her way to help you. Yes, this office is very busy, but since I've been here my vision seems to have improved, treatments lasts longer. They are serious about Covid and I appreciate that. So if you have a wait its worth it.
I went to Dr Powell after 2 years of treatment and surgery by another Retina Clinic in Federal Way. In comparison, she is more analytic, thoughtful and professional in explaining my condition. (It is never just an in and out experience.) My eyesight is precious to me, and I now feel like I am in the right clinic with a highly qualified staff and doctor. Yes, the wait is sometimes more than I would like, but often this is because Dr Powell takes hospital emergency patients as well as her regular scheduled patients.
Couldn't review Dr. herself because we did not get that far. Upon arrival to the appointment we were met with a door that was plastered in signs to read and needed to be buzzed in. Go to check in and the first question was were we covid vaccinated. This is the only place that we have ever been asked this question. My daughter has an autoimmune condition and see's many specialist and is in and out of hospital frequently. Her condition is contraindicated to receiving the vaccine. Brenda is the worst kind of “doctor” she is very rude, short, condescending in compassionate person I’ve ever met in the medical field. She is very rough. I know a few employees that’s also state her unprofessionalism & disrespect to her employees. My experience is the ones who work for her are the sweetest ! Very sweet and they actually listen. She comes in TELLING YOU how you feel. Would never recommend.
