Indeed a very scary day for me, sudden vision loss and the unknown certainly didn't allow for controlled emotions on my part, yet EVERYone was so personable, caring and beyond professional! That let's me know I'm in the right place! A heartfelt thanks to Dr. Dhalla and his entire staff!
I have been trying to call their corporate billing office for over 8 months now regarding an erroneous bill I received. No one has returned my calls and they keep billing me incorrectly.
The doctors we have seen have been good. However, this office regularly calls to reschedule appointments that my husband and I have had for 6 month or 8 month check ups. They call about a week before the appointment to reschedule us out at least another month or offer us to go to another location that is not convenient. This has happened to me at least 3 times and my husband as well at least 3 times. We each see different doctors and go to different locations due to where we work. It's very frustrating.
Where do I begin to express how incredible Retina Group of Florida is. Dr. Uchiyama is a miracle worker. I am in my late 30’s and have had major eye issues arise within the last couple of years. Because Dr. Uchiyama is a specialist, there is always a long wait in the office. However this is made up for with the time the doctor spends with you as a patient. Seeing the numerous five-star reviews for this clinic, I was deeply disappointed by my personal experience. Perhaps our appointment being late on a Friday afternoon contributed to the issues we encountered, but it does not excuse the unprofessional behavior and lack of communication we experienced, particularly from Dr. Eduardo Uchiyama, the "senior doctor."
