Broken Bed: On 03/06/2023, since I woke up in the bed there was no possibility to get the bottom/feet elevated to neutral position. The bed bottom end was undesirably dropping down, which was extremely uncomfortable and not recommended for the leg/foot circulation . Every day I made aware nurses and other hospital staff. Reston hospital grossly overcharged $13K for an overnight stay under 24 hours and some IV antibiotics. Without surgery for appendicitis, there is no way the bill should have been that high. It didn't include the scan which was billed separately. Our son was not seen by a doctor between 9PM and 4 a.m., only a nurse. I'm the one who told the nurse to give him antibiotics to try to avoid surgery as they do in Europe and as I researched was an option. They provided dismal care and completely secretive pricing. I had my first child here last week and the staff and service were incredible. My nurses were constantly checking on us and getting us anything we needed. They did a great job of monitoring and reacting to my condition during delivery and keeping us comfortable for the next two days. The rooms were big and comfortable and the food was pretty good. They even have a massage therapist for you. The discharge talk was very helpful on babysit and mother care. They even reconfigured our car seat to be properly set up for our son.
