A restaurant for wealthy geriatrics Disclaimer: I'm a Frenchman living in the US for 2 decades. The restaurant decor is quite nice. The food is average with a nod to very small portions (for geriatrics). Highlights: The appetizer was fresh (nice tomatoes), the dessert was adequate. The main dish can be described as : 2 tiny medallions of veal in a decent sauce, over-cooked and/or tough accompanied by miniscule portions of piped mashed potatoes and undercooked squash. A lovely destination restaurant Pomme is a true gem, a restaurant with excellent food, atmosphere and service at a moderate price. The French food is sophisticated, but not so elaborate as to be unfamiliar. Pay particular attention to the delicious salads and the duck entree on the regular menu. Best In Class My wife and I were glad to have not read two of the prior reviews. we stumbled across Pomme on are way to various vineyards in the area. We enjoyed the atmosphere and food tremendously. G-Cheese
Consistently a Delicious Experience My husband and I have dined at Pomme at least a dozen times. We love the cozy atmosphere and have, for the most part had excellent meals there with very satisfying portions. Surely the best rack of lamb I have ever had. We have always found the bread to be crusty and delicious and soups and salads have been consistently very good. I too did not care for the eggs benedict florentine (brunch) and just once my husband's beef was well done instead of medium. Overall, we love Pomme and usually ... read more
Disappointed We have dined at Pomme many times and enjoyed the food until yesterday. The "special" asparagus soup was pure cream with a hint of green color, no sign of asparagus and the eggs benedict florentine was so rich and salty, I could not finish it. My husband ordered the sliced beef, which was mediocre and the vegetables were too salty to enjoy. What has happened to our favorite restaurant??????
