I trained and frequently collaborate with Dr. Hecht. She is an excellent clinician who demonstrates connection, understanding, and support to her clients and peers. Dr. Hecht has had a passion for eating disorder recovery for as long as I have known her and is one of the most competent and well trained professionals I know.
I trained and supervised Dr. Bonanni Hawk during her doctoral internship and was always impressed with her compassion, pragmatism, and ability to connect with her clients. Dr. Bonanni Hawk uses a combination of empathy, humor, and an integrative approach to theory and practice to help her clients feel better, find solutions that work. and live full and rewarding lives.
Dr. Heather Hecht is a great addition to the field and a wonderful colleague. I have referred several clients to her practice who have all had wonderful things to say about her as a clinician. She is warm, empathic, and meets the client where they are at. She provides evidence based therapy and is continuously integrating new research into her sessions.
I saw Doctor Bonanni-Hawk for several months. It was a complete waste of time and money. Her 'help' and suggestions could have been picked out of a random self-help book. Maybe she would be useful for people with minor problems or who only see a therapist for the attention, but for anyone with real problems, go to a different provider.
