Very disappointed. We were looking forward to viewing this rental property with our real estate agent. He tried to make an appointment for us THREE separate times. The listing did not specify any preferred viewing times. We tried for after 5:00 and before 5:00 on weekdays, so we were flexible with timing. Pat Richter and Susan Brown (her daughter) are not nice people. They are rude, inattentive, and aggressive. I would not recommend working with this company. The day I found out my landlord was using a new property management company was the best day of my life.
ZERO STARS! This is the most inhumane organization I've ever experienced. Pat Richter is very rude and aggressive. We rented a property for about 3 and 1/2 years and she got angry when we gave notice. We took care of the property and fixed a lot of issues ourselves. There was mold for a long time in our basement which they took their time to replace. Often times when something was wrong and needed to be fixed, her first response was that she didn't know when she could have someone out to fix it and what ask us why it broke. ... read more

From a tenant perspective, Residential Preferred Properties did a fine job responding to our needs while we were renting a property in Reston, VA. All maintenance requests were handled in a timely manner. However, my wife and I are very disappointed with how they handled the return of our security deposit. During the move out inspection no deficiencies were identified. We were present and prepared to clean, if needed. They ended up deducting $200 from our security deposit for professional cleaning, which was not required in ... read more
