Staff are always friendly and accommodating. The pool is great! Always warm, clean, and relaxing. Breakfast is pretty good, with waffles, sausage, eggs, oatmeal with a variety of mix-ins, cereal, ect.
We stayed here for a Michigan State football game this fiscal year. The front desk personnel were the best I have encountered in a long time. They held great conversations with us and were welcoming whenever we entered the lobby. The only complaint I had was the outdated room, but they are in the process of updating the rooms. Overall, we would return in the future.
We have stayed at several different Residence Inns and this was by far the worst one. We were awoken by a fire alarm at 12am on the first night of our stay (7/26/25) and had to evacuate the building. We had to wait outside for a while until the fire department gave the “all clear”. Apparently the issue turned out to be the elevator overheating ("again" per the front desk receptionist) I am assuming due to poor or lack of maintenance. The breakfast the next morning was terrible.
