This review is for the Renaissance Inn by Marriot in Columbia, SC. I would not intentionally stay here again. Our suite was filthy and in desperate need of multiple repairs. I've had cleaner experiences while camping in a tent and using public restrooms. There was blood on one of the comforters. I know they had not been washed because when I took dish soap and water to them, a lot of the blood came right off. The locks on both bedroom doors were broken. Gm canceled my reservation with notice, email or phone call. When ask to talk to gm or have her call me concerning this matter she would not.
Staff was incredible! Super sweet and ready to help. Only downside was the room was in need of a little TLC; there were stains and all sorts of stuff all over. BUT, it was comfortable. Perfect for a short term stay. Thank you!
I would never recommend this location to anyone because the General Manager Rebecca Brooks discriminates against people with disabilities. I witnessed Rebecca becoming upset and belittling a customer who was disabled and asked for clarity and patients to further understand her billi becauae she had a long stay. I was so upset to see someone especially a manager treat a paying guests with such disrespect.
