Just squeaked by with 4 stars on this one. Have stayed at over 20 different Residence Inns, and would probably put this one at #18. Check-in was not smooth and took quite some time and small, low dollar items could be replaced in the room to make it nicer - like the rusty shower head (that isn't the standard Residence Inn shower head), old desk outlets, the towel holder in front of the bathroom sink (never witnessed anything like that prior), etc. Overall still a good stay and breakfast. My family and I were staying here for a couple of days and we had a wonderful experience my room was spotless and comfy.The staff was very warm and accommodating Jennifer was really helpful and friendly. The breakfast was unexpectedly delicious Jade made the best hotel grits I’ve ever had lol the bacon was crisp and the sausage was cooked just right! Definitely will return when I’m in Columbia
So I’ve been a member with Marriott for 10 years & I usually stay at this hotel every time I go Columbia because it’s close to my mom’s house. I’ve been coming to this hotel for years, but now I think my time is up here. This is the second time back to back that I’ve come back to this hotel and experienced terrible housekeeping services. I’m not sure if they changed the house keepers or what but the rooms are NOT properly cleaned at all.
