Renovations are ongoing. Stayed in one of the updated rooms and it was refreshing. I always stay at this location due to the close proximity of pretty much everything you'll need!
I wrote a review of my 1 night stay at the Residence Inn Richmond/Short Pump. It was a bad review because I found 3 stink bugs on the floor next to my bed when I woke up at 7am. I took photos of the 3 bugs. I reported it to the woman at the front desk right away. She told me to send the photos to the manager, Matthew Wiler. He totally disregarded my complaint, closed the case that he created with Marriott Corporate (which they told me about) and he did not directly respond to me. There are signs that this is definitely an old property. There are area areas that are showing its age. However, the hotel is in the middle of a complete overhaul renovation. Don’t let that discourage you from staying here. I was able to get one of the newly remodeled rooms and they are super nice. You can tell once they’re completely finished with all the reservations.
