Update: Hotel needs cleaning and fixing minor wear. Hall carpets very dirty. Workout room not maintained. Staff is very nice. Rooms are clean. Need updating. —-Surprise at check-in. So one thing that makes me mad is when a hotel charges for parking when they have more than sufficient parking and availability. Stayed at the Residence Inn by Marriott Denver Golden/Red Rocks and really enjoyed the location — super convenient to Red Rocks Amphitheatre, shops, and restaurants in Golden. The suites are spacious with full kitchens, making it great for longer stays, and the complimentary breakfast is a nice bonus. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the hotel has nice amenities like a pool and fitness center. I would have to give it only a one star because this is center and upscale hotel. However, they do not even have forks. Forks have been a part of human history for a very long time. They are not some newfangled, kind of technology that every room doesn't have, USB ports are now widespread in every room but they cannot find it in them to provide forks.
