Beware of the 3 year contract they make you sign up. They say that the monthly rate will only increase by 5%-15% however the cover it up by creating a 20% surcharge. Their sales guy says if you are unhappy with the service you can cancel, so when you try to cancel the girl knows right await to tell you that it is not a service issue and they will be charging you the $250 cancellation fee.

This company scammed me by not telling me I was signing a 3 year contract- I am 80 years old and had not EVER heard of contracts with rubbish removal. At my age, almost 81years, i do NOT sign 3 year contracts. The same happened to my neighbor who is almost 89. I did not know that what they had me sign was a contract. --Neither did she. There should not be a contract being snuck in--Neither of us were aware that we did this until I had an issue with their billing . This company has a ton a bad reviews! I only wished I would have seen them before. They are overcharging me $129.43 and they don't care. I have left 7 messages and they won't return my call. I use several waste removal companies and I have never had the problems I have with them. When my contract is up I will go with ACE Disposal no matter the price! Do yourself a huge favor and STAY away from Allied or Republic Services!

Business owners, stay away from this company! They push you to sign 3 years contract with automatic 3 years renewal if you forget to cancel it 60 days in advance (and it isn't easy to cancel!). During 3 years contract term they increased my fee for monthly service from $38.85 to $ 117.52. Price increase can't be considered as a valid reason to terminate the contract: the way their standard contract is designed - no termination during 3 years: use or pay. We've had AW for about 3 years and have been happy until a few months ago. Since then, we've had a problem with missed pickups and rude customer service. In the most recent incident, I had to talk to 4 different services reps and the problem STILL hasn't been resolved. The last service rep was very rude, as she wouldn't let me explain the situation (she kept cutting me off). I have tried 3 written requests to cancel my service effective 9-7-12. The first was in August 2012, again in October 2012 and then in January this this year. They continue to bill me even though I have not lived at the location since 8-2012. Not only that, today I received a bill with an interruption of service in the amount of $35.00 and a letter from a collection company. They do not reply to letters or email requests. We have had many issues with Allied Waste and would not recommend their services. Their customer service is terrible. They sent us to collections with no notice because we didn't return a trash can that was at our house when we moved in. We called to have them retrieve the can and they stated that they had no record of it. Then, years later, they charge us for it. In addition, they missed pick up multiple times and left trash in the bottom of the can causing it to smell throughout the week.

I called last month to put my account on vacation hold until I got a renter in my rental property. I was informed not to pay my bill and that I would be receiving a new bill. I never got one. I called again today to cancel the account and I was informed that I would be charged for an entire month of service even if I cancelled the service effective today.
