I had there service for years and didn't really have any problems with them until they raised my rates up twice in a short time. I tried calling to cancel and called everyday for a week, and left messages and no one called me back. I finally a hold of them today and canceled, they said I had to pay entire month of service and $35.00 fee, which is ridiculous. I placed my trash cart by the curb in front of my resident on 08/24/2025 (Sunday Evening). Moreover, on Monday, August 25 around 12:25 PM, I observed the Republic Service trash truck picking up trash carts after passing my resident, I assumed that my trash cart had already been dumped. Thereafter, about 1 hour later I went outside to retrieve my trash cart, and noticed that the two white bags with blue draw strings were still in the trash cart. Customer service rep may as well be 10 stars out of 5! She was phenomenal. I get the feeling the garbage truck operators will be too. What I'm not fond of is being strong armed into paying for a trash can from them no matter what. I bought my own 96 gallon and they demand it be their bin anyway... albeit I can still use mine as an auxiliary bin, so long as it sits next to theirs.... 🤪. Their delivery fee is basically a discounted bin... and interwoven into the quarterly costs are a rental.... I hate renting things I'm free ... read more
Twice ive called for a pickup after they didn't grab it on the scheduled day. Said they'd grab it and never did then called and they said well tomorrow is your scheduled pick up, we will pick it up then. The original pick up date I watched as I just put my trash in the bin, the driver drove right past. The only reason you get two stars instead of one is the supposed $15 credit to my bill. Great policy though, "we are the only trash service and we will pick it up when we feel like it" seems to be their m.o.
