This company sucks. Been trying to contact them by phone for two days. I was on hold for over 20 minutes both times. I have changed trash service. Your bin is sitting here if you want it. Come get it
Muskegon Area Residents: do not use Republican Service for trash or recycling. 1) They charge $100 to drop off the bins 2) the trash and recycling quarterly rates are the same as competitors in the area but Republic Services add and additional $30 every quarter for a “Fuel/Environmental Recovery Fee”, 3) they charge an additional $100 to pick up the bins when you cancel. Save your money and use a local company that has free bin drop off and pick up and no hidden fees.
This is one of the worst companies we have ever dealt with and would never recommend them. Every year we pay for 1 year of trash service and every year they double bill us. It’s always a hassle to get a refund and the representatives on the phone are often rude and unhelpful. This year we will be switching providers. I recommend avoiding this company. I wasn’t even with them for a year before I received an email stating that my quarterly price will be increasing due to Gas prices, cost of labor, etc… I called a competitor and was quoted half of what I’m paying currently, with the same weekly pickup schedule. I had to wait on a 30 minute hold before talking with a representative in which they asked “Did you call us to see if we had any PROMOTIONS or DISCOUNTS we could offer you?” I’m crazy busy with work and told them that I’m not interes... read more
