Republic Services absolutely refuses to pick up our trash. Even though it is CLEARLY outlined on the City of Gulf Shores website that our house is on the pick up route for Wednesdays. We have been instructed to take our trash to another road, at least 200 yards from our home for it to be picked up. In order for us to do that we have to take it through our neighbors yard & place it in front of their home, or take it to another area on the road with no flat surface due to the overgrown ditches. The city of Gulf Shores shows my street address on the city public works website that trash will be picked up at my house. Republic brought us trash cans but will not pick them up at my address. They informed my wife we would have to put them in front of my neighbors house 200 plus yards from my house for them to be picked up. We talked with Kevin who was extremely rude. He informed us he had worked as the manager for Republic Services 20 years and they would not pick up at our address even though the city of Gulf Shores pub... read more
